Frequently Asked Questions
What is photo metadata?
Hidden data saved with a picture. Phone photos can include the GPS location where they were taken, the date, and the camera or phone model.
Will the picture quality change?
PNG stays lossless. JPG and WebP are saved again at very high quality, so a change is hard to notice, though a very small one is possible.
Will my photo end up sideways?
No. The rotation stored in the metadata is applied to the picture first, so it stays the right way up.
