No. The AI model downloads to your browser and runs on your own device, so your photo never leaves it. No account or API key is involved.
Why is the first use slower?
Your browser downloads about 56 MB the first time. After that it normally reuses its saved copy, though it may download again if your browser has cleared its storage.
How good is the result?
The model is made mainly for people. It can also work on other clear subjects, but fine hair, busy backgrounds and objects similar in colour to the background may not come out perfectly.
